SAIL RSP Apprentice Recruitment 2026- How to Apply

Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), SAIL – Learning & Development Department SAIL RSP Apprentice Recruitment 2026, Eligibility, Age Limit, Selection Process, Last Date, Apply Online, OPSC has issued an official notification for its one-year apprenticeship training program for 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. There are a total of 1,110 vacancies: 421 for Trade ITI/Apprentices, 414 for Diploma Apprentices, and 275 for Graduate/Degree Apprentices. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of SAIL RSP.

The application process for the SAIL RSP Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will begin soon, and applications can be submitted until August 26, 2026. Candidates must be between 18 and 28 years of age. Selection will be based on a walk-in interview.

Eligibility Criteria

• Only candidates who completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are eligible.
• Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in the last five years – 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026.
• Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying exam but whose results are not declared as on the last date of application are not eligible.
• Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training at any establishment, or who have one year or more of job experience, are not eligible.

Walk-In Venue

All shortlisted RSP Apprentice candidates must report in person at the same venue in Rourkela for document verification, regardless of trade or discipline, on their scheduled date.

Venue: Central Recreation Room, Trainees’ Hostel, Sector-5, Rourkela-769002, District Sundargarh, Odisha.

Registration Requirements Before Applying

• Trade Apprentices (ITI): Register at apprenticeshipindia.org.
• Graduate/Technician Apprentices (Diploma & Degree): Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in.
• Candidates must have an active email ID and mobile number valid for at least the next one year, since all future communication happens only through email.
• The bank account must be DBT-enabled with KYC verified, and candidates must verify the correctness of all information before final submission.
• After successful online registration, candidates must take a printout of the filled application for future reference.

SAIL RSP Apprentice Recruitment 2026: How to Apply

The RSP Apprentice apply online process differs slightly for ITI trade candidates and Diploma/Degree candidates, but both require completing portal registration before attending the walk-in.

For Trade (ITI) Apprentices

1. Register as a candidate on apprenticeshipindia.org.
2. Log in to the home page of the apprenticeship portal as a candidate.
3. Go to Apprenticeship Opportunity and search by Establishment Name: SAIL ROURKELA STEEL PLANT.
4. Click apply for the prescribed trade against the vacancies appearing on the portal.

For Degree/Diploma Apprentices

1. Register as a student on nats.education.gov.in.
2. Log in to the NATS portal home page as a candidate.
3. Go to Establishments Requests, then click Find Establishments.
4. Select Steel Authority of India Limited, Rourkela Steel Plant and apply in your passed-out branch of engineering.
5. After applying successfully on the portal, attend the walk-in as per the schedule for your trade/branch.

The last date to apply on the respective portal is 26 August 2026.
