CASB Agniveervayu Eligibility Criteria 2024

Date of Birth Block –

  • Applicants born between January 2, 2004, and July 2, 2007 (inclusive of both dates) meet the eligibility criteria for applying.
  • Should a candidate successfully navigate through all stages of the Selection Procedure, the upper age limit at the time of enrolment must not exceed 21 years.

Educational Qualification –

(a) Science Subjects

Eligible candidates must have cleared the Intermediate/10+2 or an equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR

Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology)  To be eligible, individuals must have graduated from a recognized Polytechnic Institute in Central, State, and UT with 50% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in English in the Diploma Course. In case English is not a subject in the Diploma Course, this criterion applies to Intermediate/Matriculation.

OR

Successful candidates should have passed a Two-Year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects, specifically Physics and Mathematics, from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT. The eligibility criteria include securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in English in the Vocational Course. Alternatively, this condition applies to Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Vocational Course.

(b) Other Than Science Subjects

Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria must have successfully cleared the Intermediate/10+2 or an Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT, with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR

To be eligible, individuals must have successfully undertaken a Two-Year Vocational Course from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT. The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in English in the Vocational Course, or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not included in the Vocational Course.

Note – 1: Candidates eligible for Science Subjects examination (based on Intermediate/10+2) can also opt for the Other than Science subjects examination. They will have the flexibility to appear in both Science and Other than Science subjects examinations in a single sitting when completing the online registration form.

Note – 2: Only Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT as of the registration date will be taken into consideration.

Note – 3: Only the exact aggregate percentage of marks, as recorded before the decimal point on the marks sheet of 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent Examination/Three years Diploma Course/Two years Vocational Course OR determined in accordance with the guidelines of the relevant Education Board/Polytechnic Institute, will be considered. For example, 49.99% should be maintained as 49% and not rounded off to 50%.

General Medical Standards for Agniveervayu

  • Height:
    • Male : Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms.
    • Female : Minimum acceptable height is 152 cms.
  • Chest:
    • Male : Minimum chest circumference should be 77 cms and the chest expansion should be atleast 05 cms.
    • Female : The chest wall should be well proportioned and well developed with the minimum range of expansion of 05 cms.
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
  • Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable. Visual requirements as applicable as per Indian Air Force standards.
  • Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
  • Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
  • General Health: To qualify, candidates must exhibit normal anatomy without any loss of appendages. They should not have any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection, including skin ailments. Additionally, candidates need to be physically and mentally fit to carry out duties across various parts of the world, under different climates and terrains.

CASB Agniveervayu Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

CASB Web Portal, located at https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in, will exhibit the names of shortlisted candidates who have qualified the online test. On a scheduled date, these candidates will be called to designated ASC for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), encompassing a 1.6 Km run to be accomplished within seven minutes for males and eight minutes for females. In addition, male candidates must successfully complete 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups, and 20 Squats within the stipulated time to pass the Physical Fitness Test.

CASB Air Force Agniveervayu Recruitment Notification 2024

Eligible unmarried male and female candidates (Indian/Nepalese) are invited by the Indian Air Force to apply for the selection test under the Agnipath Scheme for Agniveervayu intake 01/2025. The online registration window is scheduled to run from January 17, 2024, to February 6, 2024. Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Selection Method

Selection of candidates will be based on Phase I (Online), Phase II Test, Mandatory Medical Standards, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), and Medical Examination. For detailed insights into the selection process, interested applicants should thoroughly read the official recruitment details, including terms and conditions.

Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Test Syllabus

The online test will consist of objective-type questions and will be bilingual, with questions presented in both English and Hindi, except for the English paper. Candidates choosing both Science and other than Science subjects will undergo a unified online test in a single sitting on the same system.

Science Subjects. Candidates will have 60 minutes for the online test, covering English, Physics, and Mathematics, aligning with the 10+2 CBSE syllabus.

Other Than Science Subjects.  Total duration of the online test shall be 45 minutes and shall comprise of English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).

Science Subjects & Other Than Science Subjects: Candidates will be allotted 85 minutes for the online test, covering English, Physics, Mathematics, and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA), following the 10+2 CBSE syllabus.

  1. Marking pattern for online test:-
    1. One mark for every correct answer.
    2. Nil (0) marks for un attempted question.
    3. 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

Agniveervayu Salary/ Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits.

Individuals enrolled as AGNIVEERVAYU under this Scheme will receive a monthly Agniveer package of Rs 30,000, accompanied by a fixed annual increment. Additionally, they will be entitled to Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in IAF), along with Dress and Travel allowances.

Agniveervayu Terminal Benefits – Seva Nidhi Package

AGNIVEERVAYU will receive a one-time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package, consisting of their monthly contribution matched by a corresponding contribution from the Government upon completion of their engagement period, as detailed below:

  1. Note 1: AGNIVEERVAYU will not be required to contribute to any Provident Fund of the Government.

CASB Agniveervayu Provisional Select List (PSL)

The Provisional Select List (PSL), organized in order of merit, will be formulated after the completion of the selection test. This list will be exhibited at all ASCs and on the web portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in, tentatively in April 2024. Inclusion in the PSL is contingent on candidates’ performance in the selection test, determined by the application of cut-off marks concerning the number of qualified candidates in phase-II testing and anticipated vacancies. However, inclusion in the Provisional Select List (PSL) does not guarantee automatic enrollment. The Indian Air Force retains the right to cancel the Selection Process even after the PSL is published if necessary. Enrollment is strictly based on merit, subject to medical fitness, availability of vacancies, not exceeding the age of 21 years on the date of enrollment, and meeting all the specified eligibility criteria when called for enrollment. The PSL’s validity shall be for 6 months from the date of display and is applicable only for AGNIVEERVAYU INTAKE 01/2025.

Air Force Agniveervayu Important Instructions

  • AGNIVEERVAYU will be inducted into the Indian Air Force as per the provisions of the Air Force Act 1950, serving for a period of four years. Within the Indian Air Force, AGNIVEERVAYU will occupy a distinct rank, different from any other existing ranks. The Indian Air Force holds the discretion to conclude the service of AGNIVEERVAYU at the conclusion of the prescribed four-year engagement period.
  • Upon completing four years of service, AGNIVEERVAYU will be given an opportunity to apply for permanent enrolment in the Indian Air Force, in line with the organization’s requirements and policies as specified by the Indian Air Force. Evaluation of these applications will be conducted centrally, utilizing objective criteria, including performance during the four-year engagement period. A maximum of 25% from each specific AGNIVEERVAYU batch will be considered for enrolment in the regular cadre of IAF. AGNIVEERVAYU does not possess any inherent right to be selected for further enrolment in the Indian Air Force, and any such selections will be entirely at the discretion of the Indian Air Force.
