Eligibility Criteria

Criteria	Details
Eligibility (Mandatory)	Only serving employees of AIESL are eligible. External / open market candidates are NOT eligible to apply.
DGCA Qualification (Mandatory)	Must have passed all B1 or B2 Modules of DGCA knowledge examinations; OR hold a B1 DGCA License or B2 DGCA License within AIESL capability. RT License would be preferred.
Minimum Aviation Experience	Minimum 5 years of current practical maintenance experience on operating aircraft as prescribed under CAR 66, out of which at least 2 years must be in the services of AIESL.
Parent Vertical	Candidates will remain in their parent vertical (AIESL / AIX / AASL) and continue with the same type of employment arrangement (Permanent / Fixed Term) after acquiring requisite qualification and absorption in the respective cadre.
Fresh Application Requirement	Candidates who had applied against any previous AIESL notification for Trainee AME must apply afresh – prior applications will not be considered.

Salary

• Pay During Training : Existing pay of the selected candidate shall be protected during the period of training; salary protection given if trainee is already drawing a higher salary.
• Pay After Training : Placed in applicable scale of pay as per AIESL Board approved policy on acquisition of DGCA License or equivalent qualification and completion of training.
• Duration of Training : Already a certifying staff (with B1/B2 authorization): 1 month; Already holding Aircraft License within AIESL capability: on getting relevant authorization or 12 months, whichever earlier; Others: 12 months.
