Eligibility Criteria

• Enrolment window: Candidates should be enrolled within 5 years from their date of retirement.
• Medical Category: SHAPE-I is required.
• Character: Must be Exemplary or Very Good.
• Qualification: Ex-servicemen must be of Indian Domicile and pension holders only. Ex-women employees (including premature retirees) of MoEF & CC and the State Forest Department must have rendered a minimum of 20 years of service in MoEF & CC or the State Forest Department.
• Conduct: Candidates should not be involved in any civil or police cases.

Salar

This is not a regular salaried government job, and the notification does not specify a fixed monthly salary or pay scale.

• Ex-servicemen are initially engaged for a period of 2 years, extendable by 1 year at a time, subject to satisfactory performance.
• As per Ministry of Defence letter No. PC to MF 68640/ECO/Gen/TA-2/513/US/D(GS-III)/2018 dated 30 October 2018, service rendered in Infantry Battalion (TA) Ecological units by ex-servicemen is not admissible to pension, increment, or gratuity.
• Service of ex-servicemen and ex-women employees in these Ecological units is treated as rehabilitation and is not at par with service of soldiers in the Regular Army or Territorial Army.
• The organisation does not provide or promise permanent employment of any kind.
• Authorities conducting the rally are not responsible for any accident or injury to candidates during the recruitment rally.

Selection Process

• Online Registration (before the rally): Register at www.130ta.com as per the eligibility criteria and terms of engagement, or plan to report directly with documents if registration is not possible.
• Document Verification (03 August 2026): Original documents are checked at Devkatiya Ground, Pithoragarh.
• Physical Fitness Test (04 August 2026, for Ex-servicemen Male): 1.6 km run, pull-ups, 9 ft ditch, and balance test, assessed as per age criteria.
• Interview & Proficiency Test (for Ex-women employees of MoEF & CC/SFD): Interview by the Board of Officers along with a proficiency test in afforestation-related activity and nursery management.
• Medical Examination & Interview of Shortlisted Candidates (05 to 08 August 2026): Candidates who clear the physical test or BOO assessment undergo medical examination and a final interview.
• Merit-based Enrolment: Enrolment is purely on merit basis and is subject to the number of vacancies actually available in each trade.
