Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB), has issued a notification for recruitment to several posts in the Home Department. Under this recruitment, there is a golden opportunity for candidates from 12th to postgraduate to get a government job. This recruitment will be done for a total of 61 posts. Eligibility Criteria
- Assistant Scientific Officer: Master’s degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Pharmacology/Forensic Science from a UGC recognized institute with at least 50% marks.
- Assistant Scientific Officer (Documents): Master’s degree in Physics/Chemistry/Computer Science/Forensic Science with minimum 50% marks.
- Assistant Scientific Officer (Crime Scene): Master’s degree in Forensic Science from any UGC recognized University.
- Assistant Jail Superintendent: Bachelor’s degree from recognized University with PG Diploma in Social Work/Sociology/Psychology and physically fit.
- Computer Assistant: Graduation with 1 year Diploma in Computer Applications or B.Sc. IT or BCA or 3 years Diploma in Computer Applications.
- Lab Attendant: 12th (10+2) pass with Science (Maths/Biology) from a recognized School Education Board.

- Assistant Scientific Officer: Rs. 35900/- to 1,13,500/- (Pay Level- 6E)
- Assistant Superintendent Jail: Rs. 35,700/- to 1,13,100/- (Pay Level- 6E)
- Computer Assistant: Rs. 25,500/- to 81,100/- (Pay Level- 4)
- Laboratory Attendant: SL 2 (Rs. 15900/- to 50,400/-)

Exam Details
The exam will have objective type, multiple choice based questions in English language only. Apart from this, one fourth marks will be deducted as negative marking.
