MPSC Group B Recruitment- How to Apply

Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) MPSC Group B Recruitment, Eligibility, Age Limit, Fees, Selection, Last Date, Apply Online, MPSC has released an official notification for recruitment to the posts of State Tax Inspector, Police Sub-Inspector, and other positions. A total of 552 vacancies are available. All eligible and interested candidates may apply online by visiting the official MPSC website.

The application process for the MPSC Group B Recruitment commenced on 10 April 2026, and applications will be accepted until 30 April 2026. To apply, candidates must meet the age criteria, with a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum age of 32 years.

Eligibility Criteria

• Degree of a Statutory University or any other qualification declared equivalent by the Government.
• Candidates appearing in their final year degree examination are eligible to apply for the Combined Pre-Examination; however, they must pass their degree examination by the last date for accepting applications for the Main Examination of the concerned post.
• If the post requires an internship or work experience, the candidate must have completed such internship or work experience by the last date for accepting applications for the Main Examination. 
• Knowledge of Marathi language is required.

Physical Standards (for Police Sub-Inspector only)

• Male Candidates (General/Third Gender):
  • Height: Minimum 165 cm (relaxation applicable)
  • Chest: Minimum expansion of 5 cm required; unexpanded minimum 79 cm
• Female Candidates (General/Third Gender):
  • Height: Minimum 150 cm (relaxation applicable)
• Candidates not meeting the physical standards shall be declared unfit for appointment.
• The required educational qualification must be held up to the last date of accepting applications for the Main Examination or equivalent.

Salary

• Assistant Section Officer (Group-B Non-Gazetted) : Pay Band S-16 – Rs. 48,900 – 1,42,400 per month plus additional allowances as per rules.
• State Tax Inspector & Other Posts (S-14) : Pay Band S-14 – Rs. 38,600 – 1,22,800 per month plus additional allowances as per rules.
