A total of 532 vacancies are available. All eligible and interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official PSSSSB website.

The application process for PSSSB Recruitment 2026 commenced on 01 April 2026, and applications can be submitted until 21 April 2026. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and not more than 27 years old.

Eligibility Criteria

• Warder (Male Only): Candidates Should Possess 10+2 or equivalent examination of any recognized Education Board with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or Elective subject or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi Language, as specified by the Government from time to time.
• Matron (Female Only): Candidates Should passed 10+2 or equivalent examination of any recognized Education Board with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or Elective subject or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi Language, as specified by the Government from time to time. Only women can be recruited as Matron.

Salary

• Pay Scale : Rs 19900/- to Rs 63200/- (L-2).

Selection Process

The selection for the 532 Warder & Matron posts involves three key stages: 

• Written Exam (Objective Type MCQ): This is a two-part written test.
  • Part-A (Punjabi Language): Qualifying only, with a minimum requirement of  marks.
  • Part-B (Main Paper): Merit will be prepared based on marks in this part. It carries a negative marking of $$ mark for each incorrect answer.
• Physical Efficiency & Measurement Test (PET/PMT): Candidates passing the written exam will undergo a physical fitness test.
• Document Verification & Medical Exam: Final stage for verification and medical clearance.
