Eligiblity Criteria

PGT (Physics): Two years integrated PG M.Sc course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in Physics/Electronics/Applied Physics/Nuclear Physics; OR Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks in Physics/Electronics/Applied Physics/Nuclear Physics from a recognised university; AND B.Ed. or equivalent from a recognised university; Proficiency in teaching medium. Desirable: Computer Application knowledge.

PGT (Chemistry): Two years integrated PG M.Sc course of NCERT in Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry; OR Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks in Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry; AND B.Ed. or equivalent; Proficiency in teaching medium. Desirable: Computer Application knowledge.

PGT (Biology): Two years integrated PG M.Sc course of NCERT in Botany/Zoology/Life Sciences/Bio Sciences/Genetics/Micro Biology/Bio Technology/Molecular Bio/Plant Physiology (with Botany and Zoology at Graduation level); OR Master’s Degree with at least 50% in relevant subjects; AND B.Ed. or equivalent; Proficiency in teaching medium. Desirable: Computer Application knowledge.

PGT (Mathematics): Two years integrated PG M.Sc course of NCERT in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics; OR Master’s Degree with at least 50% in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics; AND B.Ed. or equivalent; Proficiency in teaching medium. Desirable: Computer Application knowledge.

PGT (Hindi): Two years integrated PG MA course of NCERT in Hindi or Sanskrit with Hindi at Graduate Level; OR Master’s Degree with at least 50% in Hindi or Sanskrit with Hindi at Graduate level; AND B.Ed. or equivalent; Proficiency in teaching medium. Desirable: Computer Application knowledge.

PGT (Bengali): Two years integrated PG MA course of NCERT in Bengali; OR Master’s Degree with at least 50% in Bengali; AND B.Ed. or equivalent; Proficiency in teaching medium. Desirable: Computer Application knowledge.

PGT (History/Geography/Political Science/Economics): Two years integrated PG MA course of NCERT in the relevant subject; OR Master’s Degree with at least 50% in the relevant subject; AND B.Ed. or equivalent; Proficiency in teaching medium. Desirable: Computer Application knowledge.

PGT (Commerce): Two years integrated PG MA course of NCERT in Master’s Degree in Commerce; OR Master’s Degree with at least 50% in Commerce (Note: M.Com in Applied/Business Economics holders are not eligible); AND B.Ed. or equivalent; Proficiency in teaching medium. Desirable: Computer Application knowledge.

PGT (Computer): At least 50% marks in any of: B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT) plus PG Diploma in Computer Applications or B/C Level Diploma from DOEACC with 1 year teaching experience; OR M.Sc. (Computer Science)/MCA plus 1 year teaching experience; OR Master of Engineering/M.Tech (Computer Science/IT).

TGT (Arts/Language-English): Graduation in English and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; OR at least 50% in Graduation or Post-Graduation in English and B.Ed.; OR Graduation in English with 45% marks and 1-year B.Ed. as per NCTE norms; OR Senior Secondary with 50% and 4-year B.El.Ed.; OR Senior Secondary with 50% and 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.; OR Graduation in English with 50% and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education); OR Post-Graduation in English with 55% marks and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.; AND competence to teach through the required medium.

TGT (Arts/Language-Bengali): Same pattern as TGT English above but in Bengali subject.

TGT (SST): Graduation in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; OR at least 50% in Graduation/Post-Graduation in the relevant subjects and B.Ed.; OR with 45% marks and 1-year B.Ed. as per NCTE norms; OR other equivalent combinations as per RBE norms; AND competence to teach through the required medium.

TGT (Phy. Chem. Bio): Graduation in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; OR at least 50% in Graduation/Post-Graduation in the relevant subjects and B.Ed.; OR other equivalent combinations as per RBE norms; AND competence to teach through the required medium.

TGT (Phy. Chem. Maths): Graduation in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; OR at least 50% in Graduation/Post-Graduation in the relevant subjects and B.Ed.; OR other equivalent combinations as per RBE norms; AND competence to teach through the required medium.

TGT (Hindi): Graduation in Hindi and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; OR at least 50% in Graduation or Post-Graduation in Hindi and B.Ed.; OR other equivalent combinations as per RBE norms; AND competence to teach through the required medium.

Physical Instructor: Graduate with Bachelor’s in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent; AND competency in imparting Physical Education in English/Hindi medium.
