Bihar Office Attendant Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2025

Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC), has issued a notification for recruitment to the posts of Office Attendant. This recruitment has been issued for a total of 3727 posts. Candidates who want to work on the post of Office Attendant can apply by visiting the official website (https://bssc.bihar.gov.in/) of BSSC.

The application process for Bihar BSSC Office Attendant Recruitment 2025 will start from 25 August 2025 and the application forms will be filled till 24th September 2025. To apply, the age of the candidate should be minimum 18 years and maximum 37 years.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have 10th passed from any recognized board in India.

Salary

• Office Attendant: Rs. 18,000/- to Rs. 56,900/- per month (pay level 1).

Exam Pattern

• Bihar Office Attendant Exam 2025 will have three sections.
• A total of 100 multiple choice questions will be asked from all the three sections and will carry a total of 100 marks.
• 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
• Candidates have to complete the exam within the stipulated time, which is 2 hours.

Syllabus

BSSC Office Attendant exam contains three subjects: General Knowledge, General Mathematics and General Hindi.

General Knowledge	● Resources & Economy: Types of resources, agriculture, minerals, industries, energy, and the Indian economy. ● Indian Polity & Society: Federalism, Centre-State relations, languages, democracy, diversity, political parties. ● Economy & Globalisation: Currency, credit, globalisation, trade, and livelihoods. ● History & Geography: Indian history, culture, geography, Panchayati Raj, Bihar’s role in the freedom movement, nationalism, socialism, and communism. ● Science: Light, electricity, magnetism, energy sources, chemistry (reactions, acids, bases, metals), carbon compounds, biological processes, reproduction, heredity, evolution, environment, and resource management. ● Current Events: Awareness of recent happenings.
General Mathematics	● Number Systems: LCM, HCF, real, rational, irrational, and integer numbers. ● Roots & Percentages: Square root, cube root, percentage.  ● Profit & loss, discount, sales tax, simple and compound interest, Time & distance, ratio & inverse ratio.
General Hindi	● Grammar Topics: Noun, Pronoun, Gender, Adjective, Preposition, Tense, Conjunction. ● Vocabulary and Usage: Synonyms, Antonyms, Idioms, Proverbs, One-Word Substitution, Prefixes, Suffixes, Compounds. ● Correction: Word and Sentence Correction. ● Questions from the prose and poetry of the Class 10 syllabus, including author-based questions.
