Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Level-2 (Group C): Passed 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks from a government-recognized Education Board/Council/Institution (the 50% requirement is relaxed for SC, ST, ESM, and PwBD candidates, and for candidates with a higher qualification from a UGC-recognized university); or 10th pass from a government-recognized Board plus a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)/ITI approved by NCVT (a Diploma in Engineering is not considered an alternative higher qualification).
• Level-1 (Erstwhile Group D): 10th Pass, or ITI, or an equivalent qualification, or a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Scouting/Guiding Qualification (mandatory for both Level-1 and Level-2):

• Must be a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger, or hold a Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) in any section.
• Must have been an active member of a Scout Organization for the last 5 years, supported by a “Certificate of Activeness.”
• Must have attended two events at National level or All India Railways level, and two events at State level.

Salary

• Level-2 (Group C) carries 7th CPC Level 2 with Grade Pay Rs. 1900, and Level-1 (Erstwhile Group D) carries 7th CPC Level 1 with Grade Pay Rs. 1800. An exact gross/take-home salary figure is not specified in the notification.
