Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates applying under Route 1 need SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks, along with an ITI certificate or National/State Trade Certificate in the relevant trade (Fitter, Electrician/Mechanic Electrical Power Drives, Electronics Mechanic/Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Foundryman, Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Diesel, or Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning) from a recognized institution. Alternatively, under Route 2, candidates with SSC/10th Standard with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks can qualify with 2 years’ full-time experience as an apprentice trainee in the relevant trade from a recognized institution. Under Route 3, candidates with the same academic qualification can also qualify with 3 years of work experience in the relevant trade in a Ministry/Department/Organization/Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Body under Government of India/State/UT.

Salary
- Technician-1 (all trades) : Level-2, Pay Matrix (7th CPC): ₹19,900 – ₹63,200, (Approximate Total Emoluments ₹39,000 per month)
