Exam Pattern- Phase 1
- The questions in the NIACL stage 1 exam will be from three sections: English, Reasoning and Numerical/Quantitative Aptitude.
- There will be sectional timing of 20 minutes for each section.
- It will have 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each.
- There will be negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer.

- NIACL Administrative Officer main exam is divided into two sections: objective and descriptive, and the candidate has to clear each section separately.
- The duration of the objective type question paper is 2 hours and the duration of the descriptive question paper is 30 minutes.
- It will have 200 multiple choice questions and 2 essay/letter writing questions.
- The descriptive exam is conducted in English language only.
- There is negative marking of ¼ marks for each wrong answer.
